Wedding Photos, Denver, Colorado - Favorites from 2011

Looking back, 2011 was a pretty good year for us.  We bought a new house and spent a week in New Hampshire.  Of course, I was able to shoot some sports and some senior pictures.  But I think I had the most fun shooting weddings this year.  Venues included everything from the historic Eisenhower Chapel at Lowry and Ellis Ranch in Loveland, to the beautiful Magnolia Hotel and incredible Trinity Church in downtown Denver.  And I already posted pictures from the weddings I had the privilege of shooting at Hiwan Golf Club and Spruce Mountain Ranch.

Here is a sampling of some of my favorite wedding images from 2011, starting off with a few of the images from Betsy and Blake's wedding, that I promised in my last posting:

Betsy and Blake

I had the wonderful privilege to meet Betsy and Blake, and shoot their engagement photos back in September.  We met up, and began our shoot at at Lair 'O the Bear Park, and finished up at O'Fallen Park, along Bear Creek in Jefferson County.  It was a typically beautiful fall afternoon in the Colorado foothills, just west of Denver.  Being a product of Bear Creek High School, I spent my fair share of time in these parks.  I scouted them out for a photo shoot long ago...

Betsy is a Kansas State alum, and Blake is a die hard Vikings fan from South Dakota.  We spent the afternoon talking about football, Colorado, and their upcoming nuptials in October.  They were very into each other, and I had a great time capturing their images.  I also had the pleasure of shooting their wedding images in downtown Denver.  Definitely one of my favorite couples from 2011; I will share some of their wedding images in my next posting.

In the meantime here are a few of their engagement images from that day back in September...
