Colorado Wedding Photographer | Kelly and Dan

Fall has to be one of my favorite times of the year.  Sunshine abounds with beautiful, deep blue Colorado skies.  The nights are cooler and perfect for sleeping.  Kids are back in school (woo hoo!).  Leaves crunch underfoot, and pumpkins adorn entryways and paths everywhere.  It reminds me that football season is in full swing, and my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving, is just around the corner.

So, it stands to reason that I love shooting fall weddings!

I had the privilege of shooting Kelly and Dan's wedding last weekend in Laporte,  just north of Fort Collins.  They chose the historic Victorian Tapestry House as their venue.  I have never shot there, but I quickly found that the photo opportunities are endless.  This has to be one of the most beautiful places to get married in northern Colorado!

It was a morning wedding, and the weather forecast called for clouds and a chance of rain.  We lucked out, because by the time the rain came, the ceremony and outside photos were finished and everyone had moved inside for reception.  I hope to shoot at Tapestry House again.

My heartfelt congratulations and best wishes go out to Kelly and Dan!

Claire and Adam's Aspen Wedding

I had a blast traveling to Aspen to shoot the fall wedding of Claire and Adam.  I was selected as the second shooter for this one, which essentially means I got to have a great time documenting whatever I wanted, while Autumn Lee had all the pressure.  :-)  Autumn does an awesome job though, and I had a great time shooting with her.  You can see more of her work on her website, Dash Photography.

It was a fantastic fall day, and a beautiful drive over from Denver.  We started out at the Sky Hotel, then on to the Aspen Chapel for the ceremony.  Afterwords everyone made their way over to the top floor of the Mountain Chalet, for the reception.  It was a short, sweet trip for me.  I had to come back that night since Lucy was flying out the next morning.  I actually got pulled over by Leadville's finest, for going 32 in a 25, at around 11:30 pm, but he only wanted to know where I was going in "such a hurry".

Got lots of great images, and I wish the best of everything to Adam and Claire!
